Last week I wiped the 1TB (original) drive and 250GB drive I use as "D:" and used the Factory Back-up DVDs I made to reinstall the C: drive back to factory default
When I went to use System Restore it lists the C: and 😧 drives and one other (I haven't a clue what it is, or where it has come from):
Anyone know what this 'drive' is? Can I delete it (if so, how?)
- or should I clean the drives off and start again?
Any thoughts on this would be appreciated
Do you see a third physical rive in disk management or is this mystery drive a partition on one of your physical drives?
There are only 2 drives in disk management.
The C: drive 1TB (with OS on) has the normal 5 partitions:
500mb EFI System; 400mb DIAGS; 500mb Recovery; 918.88GB NTFS; 11.49GB Recovery
The 😧 drive has only 1 partition:
I've also run diskpart but can see no other partitions on either drive.
The other thing I've noticed is that Windows is not always booting first time - it 'hangs'. I have to switch pc off, then start it up again. It keeps loading updates, then reconfiguring them, or logging me into a 'temporary' logon.
The bios is set to start from OS first, then ODD.
Btw the first thing I installed after crashing it was AVG Internet Security, which is bang up to date, so nothing should have crept past that, right?
Any ideas on what is going on?
