New Inspiron 600m hard drive not found
Opening black screen says Primary hard disk drive 0 not found
Just replaced original 40 GB Seagate Momentus disk drive (which Dell diagnostics told me was broken) with a new Seagate Momentus 40GB
drive, but computer doesn't find it. Help!

Remove the blade adapter from the back of the original drive and place it over the pins on the new one. Without the adapter, the drive isn't connected to the system board, so you will not see it.
