Replacing defunct hard drive, need system disks
My Alienware X51 HDD died. Tried reseating, etc. Gave up and installed a new drive, but my home made boot disk isn't recognized. How do I get disks for Windows 7 and all the other stuff that came preloaded on my system? Is there a number I can call to pay Dell for a copy of these? Right now I can't boot because the drive is not formatted.

You'll need to call Dell and ask for Customer Support. They should be able to send you the recovery media for a $25 fee.
