Family is always better than freinds. This is the final and initial solution:

Hi Slsq,
Do I understand you to say that you are unable to boot after changing the drive mode to AHCI? Did you install the RAID drivers?

Hi,
windows Version:Dell edition 7 hp x64.
I do not have any idea how to find any sort of drivers for my sata. I am sure they where not on support dvd and i remember installing Win with sata=ata. Now on ACHI windows repair does not detect the mater and all I get is a series of restarts(on repair the ' can`t solve' message and on normal boot the blue death) unless I forget all about ACHI and switch back to ATA. And that is not just my trouble, a freind with a system of the same series has the same trouble(1557,1558).
Appreciations for your notice,
FM.

If you installed Windows in ATA mode and want to switch to AHCI, this procedure should work.

That proc just belongs to xp (I have already pressed lots of 'F' keys installing xp). By the way I spent two hours on win7 , a lot of pain with no gain.
thank you.

Perhaps the path forward is to reinstall using the correct controller mode.

First solution is generally considered not to be optimum. I hoped there was a softer, lighter more rational alternative.
