SSD or HDD?

I am looking to purchase a Studio XPS 16, but I can't decided if I should get the 500GB HDD or the 128GB SSD (the difference in capactiy is not an issue). However, I have never owned a laptop with an SSD, and some of my concerns include the manufacturer of the SSD and if the SSD supports TRIM. I would love to hear people's opinion on the pros/cons and why I should get one or the other, especially in regards to DELL.

Thank you

Re: SSD or HDD?

SSDs are silent, faster and use less power.  HDDs are more capacious for the price and more reliable long-term.  Take your pick.
