Slow to detect CD/DVD in Optiplex 8910
On my new Windows 10 computer (Dell Optiplex 8910), it seems to take nearly a minute from closing the CD/DVD drive, until Windows seems to actually recognize and read it. I'm not sure if this is a Win10 issue, or just a slow-to-recognize-media drive. The disk does spin up, and then spins down after about 15-20 seconds or so.
Even though this is a desktop, the drive is laptop-style, with the snap-on disk mounting, not a tray. Device Manager lists it as "HL-DT-ST DVD+-RW GU90N".
