Studio Hybrid Blu Ray Optical Drive unable to read Blu Ray discs

Afternoon all,

I wondered if anyone else had come across this issue and if so, what had been done to resolve.

I have a Studio Hybrid 140G (ST < ADMIN NOTE : Service tag removed per privacy policy >) with the Blu Ray Optical Drive which is an Optiarc 5600S.

For a few months now, I've not been able to get the drive to acknowledge any Blu Ray discs. It won't read them, and it simply doesn't even acknowledge that a disc is inserted. It seems to make a clicking sound like its unable to read the disc.

DVDs and CDs play perfectly.

My OS is Vista Home Premium (as per shipping)
Firmware of BDROM is 104B
Hybrid Bios is 1.1.0 (updated today, to see if this made a difference, and none seen)

Any thoughts, do you need further information from me?
