I am trying to install windows xp on my laptop after removing windows 8 but get stuck with this message during installation and could not found any solution yet Please if anyone can help me to resolve this issue and I will be really thankful to you every one who help me.

Thanks for the help provided. But I don't have any operating system on computer and have only Windows xp home operating system bootable cd and windows 98 startup cd.
Please give me some information how to resolve the issue using those cd's and I will be really thankful to you.

I just don the following step it the issue is resolved now. Now I just run the windows xp setup successfully and it's formatting the hard drive now during the installation. Many thanks for the help and have a good day.
The SATA controller configuration in the system BIOS If the SATA controller gets toggled from ATA to AHCI mode (or vice versa), then Windows will not be able to talk to the SATA controller because the different modes require different drivers. Try toggling the SATA controller mode in the BIOS.
