Where can I find driver for D830 with Toshiba mk1255gsx hdd?
Was installing Win7 and did not complete. Now does not see HDD when trying to re-install. Asking for "Driver". Need to find "Driver" for my HDD which is Toshiba mk1255gsx.

Hi Richwern,
Do you see the drive in the BIOS? Is the installer asking for the RAID driver, or what exactly is the installer asking for?

Thanks for the reply. Yes, the BIOS sees the Internal HDD. When Win7 installer loads it asks "where do I want to install", and brings up a dialog box that should contain the HDD. Instead the dialog box is empty.
At the bottom of the dialog box is a prompt to "Load Driver".
I assume it is asking for the HDD driver.
Any thoughts?

Ok, the fix for this is to set the SATA controller mode to ATA in the BIOS. Then the Windows installer will see the drive.
I've got a link below to a good Windows install guide, if you'd like to refer to that.
