Where to connect DVD DRIVE???
I want to install a new DVD-RW Drive on my Dimensio 5100 however I only have two SATA spots on my motherboard (both taken by my two hard drives) and the other IDE Drive Connector is already taken by my excisting drive, so as far as I can tell there is no place to put connect my drive in either format. I have attached an excisting picture of my motherboard.

Hi FrenchBread,
Your system`s one IDE channel will support two devices on the same IDE cable. From your post, I am assuming you have only one drive, so you do have room for a second.
Dell uses the Cable Select jumper settings, not Master/Slave, so set the jumper on the DVD/RW to CS as well.
Best Regards

Hi French Bread,
On the back of the drive there should be three sets of two pins.
I will get you a picture shortly.
Edit: here is a good article that should help, care of Mike~Skybird
