cd/dvd/ combo drive
I have a Dell Dimension 3000.I bought a ASUS DVD/CD rewritable drive.Iwant to install the ASUS in place of the original CD ROM drive.The old and new drives have different connectors for data and power.The new is SATA the old has wide ribbon data and a 4 pin power connector.Is there an adapter so I can install the ASUS ?

Hi Rashley1,
It's a shame you did not check your manual first. Your system takes only IDE drives, not SATA. Although it would be possible to purchase an SATA controller card, it would cost about the same as an IDE DVD burner.
