iaStor.sys caused an unexpected error (514)

Has anyone run into this error trying to reinstall Windows on a Dell PW 380 using the Dell provide Intel Matrix Storage Manager.

File iaStor.sys caused an unexpected error (514) at line 2113 in D:\spsprtm\base\boot\setup\oemdisk.c.

It seems to be a problem with this driver:

Serial ATA: Intel Matrix Storage Manager, Driver, Windows 2000, Windows XP, English, Precision 380, v.5.0.1.1001, A02

I went and download the older version:

Serial ATA: Intel Matrix Storage Manager, Driver, Windows 2000, Windows XP, English, Dimension 9100, XPS (Gen 5), Precision 380, v.5.0.1.1001, A01

It is now letting me install Windows XP.

I wonder if this is a reason why I cannot install Windows XP on my PWS 380 for RAID-0. I don't have access to my machine, but I wonder if I need to update the BIOS to A02 for the A02 version of this Storage Matrix software to work.
