How to send ECC Alerts to SCOM
Hi All,
So the thing is, i'm trying to send some ECC alerts to SCOM (Symmetrix, Celerra ...) but looking to ecc manual (Integration Packages) i didnt get so far. What i've done is the following:
- Installed Integration Gateway (on a Windows host)
- Installed Integration Package on SCOM (imported Management Pack)
- Set some ECC alerts to send SNMP traps
- Modified cgn.ini to send alerts to Event Log
Now i can see a bunch of alerts on Event Viewer, but i cant see anything on SCOM. As i'm only responsible for Storage, i'm trying to get any aditional information to make this thing work properly and understand how it's gonna work.

Hi Daniel
From my experience with the Integration Gateway agent and MOM I believe the agent is only going to send the alerts to the event viewer. Then there should be a type of agent that queries the event viewer and sends the data to MOM or in this case SCOM. As I said my experience is with MOM but I am under the impression that SCOM is very similar. If there are differences that I am not aware of please let me know and I will see if I can give a better answer.
