Is it safe to update Bios 3.9.0 via SupportAssist?
- Is it safe to update Bios 3.9.0 via SupportAssist? Some mention using a bootable USB to flash bios via manual download of bios.
- If a problem occurs, does Dell Inspirion 3650 have Bios Recovery?
- What is the best way to update Bios 3.9.0?
- Is it best to non update at all due to brick your computer possibility?
Any help would be appreciated.

3.9 if it exists was pulled
So any 3.9 is not safe.
There are also support assist downloads that are not coming from dell with malware.

Dell Inspirion 3650, NO OS stated at all. w10 -64bit , ? max 5 years old PC, so w8 or 10.
the safe way is F12, power on at splash look for UPDATE BIOS. not there on older PC is has NO F12?
Sure F12 is there, turn off safeboot is missing. via F2.
next most safe is DDDP, dell DOS.
using update assistance is a fingers in ears , event, surely if the burn fails 1/2 way through then way, cry towel>? I burn mine in shop with UPS and F12, bricking is never fun.
the other issues is UEFI rules, no regression of BIOS, so folks can trick the PC and defeat UEFI. if enabled.
way even use assistance, and not do it manually,? got 100s of PCs to do?
