Non-admin users cannot update their version of Dell SupportAssist

Non-admin users get a prompt -"Do you want to update SupportAssist now?  A new version of SupportAssist is available to download now, or we can install it for you later.  No update later.  Yes, update now."

When they click "Yes, update now" The message disappears, but the next time they open Dell SupportAssist they get the message again.

I have been able to get around the issue by downloading SupportAssistInstaller on the user laptop direct from the website and running it as admin.

We are using Latitude 7490 laptops.

How can this be resolved, so that users do not need admin assistance to do this?
