I had the same issue 'supportAssist not responding'. This is how I fixed the issue:
1. Check MS history update for KB4284835 installed on June 12, 2018. If you have this
one installed go to step 2.
2. Uninstall DellsupportAssist. then restart your computer.
3. Go to Dellsupportassist website to download and install Dellsupportassistinstaller. Or
you could use @DellFanHungary posted on this site on June 14, 2018. Make sure you
run as admin. It worked for me. Hope this helps !!!
Worked after renaming
Worked for me tooo. Thanks a ton
Renaming New-Dell-Logo-White-Small.png to New-Dell-Logo-White.png works for me, too.
IT DID NOT WORK FOR ME. Where are the Dell people to help? I am not the only one the suggested fix did not help.
July 3 and still not responding, although I get notifications that I need an updated driver.
I tried following this link but cannot find the Resources file folder.
It was in the x64 version
C:\Program Files\Dell\SupportAssistAgent\bin\Resources
not in the x86 version
C:\Program Files (x86)\Dell\SupportAssistAgent\bin\Resources
I have no idea which version I have. Nor do I care. Is there a way to simply turn off this piece of **bleep** Dell software?
And don't <Profanity removed> bleep me. I said what I meant.
