While trying to install/uninstall Oracle and Norton Security on my machine, I inadvertently ran into a workaround (or solution, depending on your perspective).
On my Windows 10 machine, I used "Add or remove programs" (using search) and saw that there were two icons for SupportAssist (even though only one instance of SupportAssist was visible). I uninstalled both, and then went to Dell support. When you try to check your hardware, it will automatically install SupportAssist. After that, you should be good to go.
After that, I reinstalled my Norton Security (I didn't install it prior to SupportAssist just in case it was screwing with SA settings).
SupportAssist is working fine for me now.
