Failry new to Dell and trying to understand how Support Assist works. I already have an OME server and from what I understand is the I install support assist on the OME server and it gets server information and alerts from OME which then in turn sends to Dell support. Is this correct?
Yes, that is correct WRT alert processing. Basically alerts that qualify for case create are processed by SupportAssist and sent to our back-end servers for case creation. There are other features in addition to this functionality which provides value add and most of the information is outlined in the Users Guide for SupportAssist. .
