Thank you emkayp! Followed your advise and it resolved Support Assist not responding issue. Yes there were 2 listed under Apps. No wonder it wouldn't work. Anyway, thanks again!

Support Assist not responding on this PC either! Have ran Win10 troubleshooter in hope that could correct the issue. Did not work at all. Notification tells me there are driver updates and one other update. Click the notification and there is no Dell response. Since Support Assist will not fully open I went through Dell Help & Support. There it shows all drivers up to date. It's as if something is caught in a loop. I'm no guru so please help resolve this issue. I count on Support Assist to keep this pc healthy.

I wonder if it could have anything to do with two recent Windows updates?  That's when I started having problems with Outlook, Word, Chrome, and eventually, Support Assist.

Same problem but the aforementioned fix worked for me as well.  Still 10 minutes of my life I'm not getting back.  You owe me, Dell!

Hi...

Just Uninstall The Support Assist From "Add And Remove Programs" (Completely Uninstall It From Program Files Dell Folder Also) & Restart The PC.

Then,

Locate "Dell Help And Support" It Is In The Start Menu "Dell" Folder

Open It,

Click On Support Assist And Download It And Just Install...It Worked For Me

If It Workes For U Then Please Reply...

This is not related or Oracle or Norton, as I have neither, but it's doing the same thing as described by everyone.

It does say something like "subscription expired" or similar. I am running a Dell XPS tower with Win 7 on it.

Funny, I never even used this app until about 6 months ago or less.

Hmmm. Wondering if does any good when it tests everything?
