Email server configuration failed in Unisphere for VMAX 1.6.1.4
Hello!
I try to configure alert notification via e-mail on Unisphere for VMAX 1.6.1.4. Then I configure email server error pop-up occured:
"Email server configuration failed. An exception was thrown: java.eib.EJBException: com.emc.em.common.mail.MailServiceException: Failed to set JavaMail SMTP Configuration"
Search on powerlink not help. May be somebody know somthing about this error?

are you able to to telnet to smtp server?
telnet 25
If no then you might need to add your smc server to relay host list on the smpt server.

Yes, of course! In manual mode a send test letter - all work. I think this is Unisphere Interface problem...

There was a smtp problem in 1.6.0 which i believe is fixed in this version? Is it a fresh install of Unisphere or you upgraded from an older version?
You can find more details about the error in smas.log in this location
\Program Files\EMC\SMAS\jboss\server\default-em\log

No, it is upgrade from 1.5.... to 1.6... and now target version.
Going to log's :-)

We are also facing same issue with our Unisphere for VMAX.
Please do let us know also how to resolve this issue.
