Fast Policy - "Error associating multiple storage groups to fast policy"
We created a new meta devices in symmetrix Vmax and added those meta to a storage group SDDPCHDB_SG, the same added to a FC_PCH_POOL storage pool also.
Storage group is in masking view now, devices are available in host.
We tried to associate storage group SDDPCHDB_SG to our existing fast policy, and showing error like. Why it is happening?
is this fast policy need to disable before adding any storage group.
Error associating multiple storage groups to fast policy. the following storage groups failed
"SDDPCHDB_SG" An error occured in in sending symmetrix system call. try to repeat this operation.
Please suggest

Hi, It seems that an exception has occurred due to syscall failure. You may find some further evidence in the solutions Enabler log (C:\Program Files\EMC\SYMAPI\log on windows). It is likely though that you will need to engage EMC support to investigate.

is any of the device in sg part of fast policy in another sg? is your symcli version compatible with the vmax code?

We are done, we created a new policy and associate SG.
