MAX number of LUNS that can be mapped to a Single FA port on VMAX?

It is showing 4117 in DMX :

On VMAX it is 4140

you take "including meta members" number from port 0 and port 1 ..sub of those two cannot exceed 4096

If I exclude the mapped DEVs yes it is 4096. So we are not counting them right ? But there is a difference in Available Address ? Please help me understand.

As has been stated there is a limit of 4096 devices per FA processor. This limit is shared over both ports. The output displays the mapped devices (host visible device count), the number of devices mapped including metamembers, and the available addresses. Since a metamember occupies a device slot on the FA the total number of available addresses on the FA is 4096 minus the "Including metamembers" number since that is the total number of devices currently on the FA.

its simple calculations mapped device count includes single devices and meta device(meta head only). Meta member calculates both meta members and single devices so for the total count you just need to count meta members and available address ..... in both the cases count is 4096

Really helped me.. I have checked for Vmax 3 and found that per IOM is showing 16 K . So yes per port should be 4K because in Vmax 3 there are 4 port per IOM
