SRDF Device group host

All,

How do I map DG's to host that are already configured on a different host?

It for managing same rdf groups or TF groups from multiple hosts.

Tx

symdg export/import should do to get the DG config replicatd. But this you have to do on both nodes if any chnages. There is another solution GNS which is meant for handling DGs from multiple hosts. AFAIK, not much people really using them comparitivly

AFAIK you may even be right (GNS isn't widely used) but my little experience with GNS is that IT WORKS .. and it's easier then what you may think :-)

Thus in case you don't have SRDF/STAR, give GNS a try.

Simpy STAR won't work with GNS. STAR CG's have to be locally defined consistency groups. Thus you can't have GNS enabled on your STAR-controlling hosts.
