Unable Write disable SRDF/ R2 device.

I am unable to write disable the newly created srdf r2 device. when  i try to disable the write for the r2 device it produces the erorr stating the device already in the requested state, however actually status of the device is RW enabled. there will be any impact  if the r2 device in R/W sate?

What do you want to do?

If you run symcfg discover followed by a query on the device, both symrdf query and symdev show and check the state of the device.

The command you are using to write-disable the device would be useful.

i think your device is already WD on the FA thats why you get that error. Check the following in the symdev show output and let us know your output.

Device Status            : Ready            (RW)

Device SA Status         : Ready            (RW)

Saurabh
