hba is not identified on one FA port of VMAX, while is visible on another one

I here is the output from list logins I am concerned about the hba ending with "37" which is visible on 8f0, but not 8e0. Any ideas on how to resolve this ??

AIX is funky like that ..anytime you present new paths or change zoning ..it will not login until you rescan with cfgmgr.

I am hoping that logged in becomes yes, once my admin scans the paths with "cfgmgr" as you said, my concern here is why the HBA is not listed "identifier" column in the first place, as the same hba is listed in the 8f0, but not in 8e0.

here the issue is i just want to see that hba ending"37" on 8e0 as well, I am sure once it is there, when my admin issues the cfgmgr then it will be automatically logged in. otherwise should I wait to see if until the rescanning brings up that HBA ending with 8e0....don't know...

if you know your zoning is right ..just wait for them to run cfgmgr.

Do you have powerpath installed on the server ?. Sometimes with powerpath not being installed on the server , faced a similar problems.

If native multipathing sotware used , then we have to wait until the fibre devices being scanned.
