how to delete the static srdf pair in dmx3

Hi

Can someone advise me how to delete the static srdf pair in dmx3

I tried the command, but getting a error.

#symrdf -sid 123 -f pair deletepair -rdfg 1 -force

Execute an RDF 'Delete Pair' operation for device file

'pair' (y/ ) ? y

An RDF 'Delete Pair' operation execution is in progress for device

file 'pair'. Please wait...

The operation cannot be performed because the specified RDF pair is not a Dynamic RDF pair

Thanks Dynamox.

Before converting the devices back to regular state do I need to suspend/split the srdf pair?

you can't use that command on static pairs. You will need to convert your source device back to "regular" device, for example back to 2-Way MIrror (lookup symconfigure syntac). During source device conversion RDF pairing will be removed.

yes, split the pair.

Best way to convert a static pair is thru BIN file.  Being DMX3, it is very likely that you won't be able to convert it via CMD line.

that is not true, as long as target array is still online you can do everything via symcli.

That's true, if the target array is online we can convert the devices, but before converting the devices we have to split the srdf pair then only it will allow to covert the devices.

Thanks Dynamox...
