z/OS Mod 27 (32760clyl) on DMX4
New addition of two EMCs DMX 4s to our mainframe enviro, Is there an exact formula to calulate how many mod 27s (32760 cylinders) with PAVs can be asigned to each LCU (logical control unit) with least of amount of space left over. Not sure how much of the resources DMX 4 uses to allocate and assign these sizes. Probably going to be 50TB, 450GB with RAID 5. Just looking for a formula, not an awnser to the numbers. Would like to know exact numbers before creating our LCUs, Base and Alais volumes. Any thing to take the guessing out of our config process.
