Bios and Firmware upgrade

I am going to upgrade old iDRAC bios and firmware version. Bios 1.3.2, 2.0.1, 2.2.5, 2.4.2 firmware 1.51.51, 2.52.52.52, 2.43.43.43, 2.30.30.30. My question is can I upgrade the old version to the newest version straight away or I need to upgrade it to some older version first and then the newest ? Thank you

Hello

If stepping is required it should be mentioned in the release notes or important notes of the iDRAC support page. I suggest reviewing the release notes of every BIOS/firmware revision that you will be jumping. There may be information that is not included in the latest release notes. For instance, there is information in older iDRAC release notes about limitations when back-flashing to old revisions. That is no longer covered in newer release notes.

I think we used to have requirements for stepping on the iDRAC7/8, but it appears that those firmware revisions have been removed from the download site. I still suggest taking the time to review all of the release notes.

Thanks
