Dell PowerEdge T310 RAID setup

Hello community,

I spent way too much time trying to figure out this RAID setup and hope this forum will help.

Basically I have a PowerEdge T310 (service tag HR0BJQ1). I am trying to setup RAID 1+0 with 4x 3TB 3.5" SATA WD Red HDDs.

The server has a built-in PERC S100 which does not understand neither HDDs over 2TB nor RAID arrays above 2TB. Which is fine.

So I'm in the market for a RAID Controller Card looking at H200/H700/H800, but the compatibility information varies from source to source and the SAS/SATA/power cables question is not clear either.

So my question is what is the best RAID Controller option 100% compatible with this server (with all the cables/converters/batteries/bells and whistles required) that will allow building RAID10 with 4x 3TB SATAs?

My server came with this SATA+power cable:

DP/N 0Y688K

CN-0Y688K-48570-13S-0144-A00

with DELL proprietary Data+Power SATA connector on one end, regular 4x SATA data cables on the other end and a 8-pin power connector.

Any help is HIGHLY appreciated!

Thank you

Nick
