Hi,

It is not that difficult, if you want alert messages to indicate what the issue is you need to configure SNMP on the iDRAC's

In the iDRAC go the Alert page and enable alerts

Than on the SNMP Traps and Email and configure the IP address of the OME server (not the iDRAC of the OME server)

That being said, if you want this to be done by a Dell engineer, contact your Account Manager and he will be able to engage our Dell services to do a complete install and configuration of OME.

Yes, that is possible.

Take a look at this whitepaper How to configure iDRAC7 Alerts Actions via OpenManage Essentials
That is from http://delltechcenter.com/ome

Do no use the script from the whitepaper but use this one instead. http://en.community.dell.com/techcenter/systems-management/f/4494/p/19657192/20836033#20836033

I understand that I can do it from iDRAC.  Problem is I have over 100 machines. I don't want to go into each server and set them individually.  I am looking for a way to set hard drive failure alerts for all machines.  I was hoping I could do it with OME or OMSA.

Are there any step by step to send alerts from OME for Hard Drive Failures
