How do I add a column for Firmware version to the Equipment Manager?

I think the biggest if not the only reason to use this software is to manage the firmware versions of the switches so all of one model are running the same version. I can see the firmware version if I open each individual switche in the Equipment Manager, but I'd like to see the version on the same page with the location and contact.

This functionality does not currently exist in the Network Manager and there is no way to add this information to the Equipment Manager window. If you want to quickly review the firmware revisions on all of the switches, the most effective way to do so would be the following:

  • Expand the Report Manager and click on Inventory Reports
  • In the Report drop-down box, select All Devices
  • Verify that the Name box is checked and an asterisk (*) is in the Name field
  • Check the Type Box and select PowerConnect from the drop-down box
  • Click on the Run button

The report generated will show all information in the database including Software, Hardware, and Firmware versions.

Please post your request to the Enhancement Requests thread. Our software engineers will review these requests for future releases of the Network Manager application.

Thank you . I hadn't tried the reports. I can live with it this way.
