How to install Dell PowerEdge R710 BIOS 6.4 update?
I have been given PowerEdge R710 servers for my church. Need to update BIOS with version 6.4. How do I do that? I see several BIOS classifications...ie. RedHat, MS windows , etc. Wasn't like this a long time ago when I used to work on Dell Server Towers.

Hello.
The file you need to update your BIOS is dependent on the Operating System. What OS are you running on your server?

The easiest way is to boot into the LifeCycle Controller, LCC and apply platform updates. During POST, press F10 to enter the LCC.

Hello!
I am trying to update the BIOS firmware and receive the error unable to get the system generation. I have the RedHat 7.4. And the server is Dell PE R710.
