IT Assistant and Software updates
I've recently setup IT Assistant and have all my servers configured with snmp with Server Administrator 5.5 and showing in IT Assistant. When I perform driver/bios/firmware updates they only work on a few servers but IT Assistant always shows the update as failed.
Is there something on the servers or in IT Assistant to configure that I've missed?

If so, what server ? What specific version of OMSA and ITA for that machine ? What firmware/driver update was tried ?
Might have to get you to call into official support channel, but if you have the details here and we make some progress, at least you'll have some details they can research.

Yes, I first started working on deploying OMSA 5.5 via IT Assistant and was logged into the server remotely that I was deploying it to and watched it launch, install and complete. It actually only installed successfully on half the servers while IT Assistant showed all of them as failed. When I would re-run an inventory, it would report the correct new version.
For the driver/firmware updates I've tried it on a few different models but I'll pick the PE 1855 for now. When trying to deploy a firmware update Dell BMC Firmware v.1.72 A09 (microsoft windows) I can see that the task starts on the target server because I watch the CPU performance and it picks up right after I launch the update and then about 5 seconds after it stops. IT Assitant shows the task as running and at 0% it eventually times out.
On other software updates such as deploying a software update bundle I see the same thing on the target machine but in IT Assistant it will fail with an error that it could not connect to the device. I run the snmp connectivity test and it returns successful.
and then sometimes a software/deployment is totally successful and IT Assitant returns it completed. Which is where I'm having a hard time, trying to figure out why some fail and others do not.
All the servers are OMSA 5.5 and I'm using IT Assitant 8.3

Support is going to be the best place. We are actually not part of the support group, so we don't have access to all the tools, tracking, escalation, etc. Sorry to push you off to support, but it's the best place to get resolution for this issue.
You can point them back to this link and that will help in describing the issue.
Call 800.822.8965 and tell them you have ITA issue.
