Installing Windows Server 2012 R2 on T310

How do I do a clean Server 2012 Install on a T310 w/  SAS 6/IR SATA Raid Controller? I would like to completely reconfigure the Logical Partitions and install Clean.

Thank you ahead of time.

Hello.

You can boot to the Windows Server 2012 R2 DVD to perform a clean installation and wipe the existing partitions. The RAID drivers for SAS 6/iR controller are native to the Server 2012 R2.

What about the PERC S300 controller. I was having some issues with that on Server 2012 R2 Foundation. (I have a second t310 I would like to upgrade to foundation). Thank you for your quick response here!

When I want to install Win Server 2012 R2 on a T310 it tells me that there are no drivers for the disks and I can not see them.

Can you share the driver that I should use?

Hello Nezzito,

You can choose to take the necessary drivers from here

To extrapolate on that, the driver you'll want to locate is the driver for the PERC. The PERC is the PowerEdge Expandable RAID Controller. Since the storage runs through it first, Windows would need a driver. If you know what PERC your system has, you should see the driver listed under SAS RAID. If you're not sure, You should be able to check by checking the service tag configuration on the Dell website, or by checking in the BIOS.
