PE 2800 W2K server rejecting RD users after FAS application runs once a month.

My windows 2000 server drops all RD users or denies connection to, when a certain application is run from the server, this only happens once or twice a month when this FAS application runs- then I have to reboot the server to allow RD. and restart the sql for FAS

Anyone have a solution?

Sounds like the particular application is exhausting  resources, when it should be returning the resources upon closing. Contact the software provider to see if there are updates or parameters to limit this.  Win 2000 is prone to poor memory/resource management, there are parameter changes to the OS itself which can be made, but  there are many. The last time I hit a wall concerning a Win 2000 memory leak caused by a program (BackupExec) I called Microsoft, they made so many changes I was not able to keep track, the issue was only corrected on a temporary basis. One thing you might try is a scheduled task(s) to stop then start any resident programs once per day during off hours.
