Problems downloading OM_SUU_653_A00_FILE1.iso

I have tried three seperate times to download FILE1 of the SUU 653 version but it fails every time.  I have gotten the other iso files downloaded without a problem (FILE2, FILE3 and FILE4).  Has anyone else run into this problem?  If so, how did you get around it?

Thanks!

Okay, so it turns out that the Dell Download Manager just doesn't play well with Firefox because once I used IE to do the downloads, I had no problems.

Haven't concentated them yet, but expect no problems with that as I have not had any in the past.

At what point does it fail? I am trying right now and working from home on a 10Mb connection.

I have downloaded 41% so far, still going. Did you use the browser to download or the download manager? I know there are folks that dont like download manager, but its always worked for me. If you like, you can also try grabbing #1 from the ftp site at the location shown below, but you should use something like Filezilla to pull it down, just to be safe.

Also note the MD5 checksums, if these dont match, the files are bad. I use a free hash checker from www.digitalvolcano.co.uk, but the site seems to be down today.

It fails at the very end.  In addition, I am left with a file named OM_SUU_653_A00_FILE1.iso.part

The errors says something about not being able to read the file.

I'm wondering, at what point did it decide it couldn't read it?  Just at the very end?  Really?

One more thing to add.  I was using Firefox before and that is why the download manager wouldn't work.  Now am using IE and the download manager does work.  Still downloading all the files.  Will report my results.

Thanks Rey G.

Just coming back to this issue.  I tried to download the iso files again just last week and again it failed on the 1st .iso file only.

I can't get the download manager to work for some reason, so am using the browser to download.

I don't know a thing about MD5 checksums really, but will check out the site you listed.

Thanks again,
