Issue
Boot up or reboot hangs just after "Booting 'EMC Celerra Control Station Linux" and will not proceed past that point.
When booting up with a monitor attached to the Control Station, you will not see the full boot process.
You will see below output on the monitor screen.
Booting 'EMC Celerra Control Station Linux'
root (hd0,0)
Filesystem type is ext2fs, partition type 0x83
kernel /vmlinuz ro root=/dev/hda3 console=ttyS1,19200 TERM=ansi-generic
[Linux-bzImage, setup=0x1e00, size=0x1d1af4]
initrd /initrd.img
[Linux-initrd @ 0x37dcf000, 0x220323 bytes]

Cause

Monitor is plugged into the VGA port. The screen will not report beyond this point.

Resolution

Unplug the VGA monitor and use a serial connection to a laptop/desktop. The full boot process can be seen by using a program such as PuTTY or HyperTerminal.

Hello Abkoyoma,

Here is a link to a KB that will explain how to resolve your issue.  You will need to login with your EMC account. https://dell.to/3dwdSvO

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Hi Dell Sam

Thanks for your answer

The article is permission based. And I don't have an EMC account.

Could you suggest another way.

I'm really stuck.

Hi,

Could you try creating an account and check if you're able to access to the page? There are some good articles, which may be useful to you in a later time.
