sending a test trap in Dell vcenter plugin

I installed Dell vcenter plugin 1.5 in our test vcenter environment primarely to test the hardware alarms on Dell M710 servers.

Is there a way to generate a test trap in dell vcenter that triggers an alarm?

Or does anybody have another way to 'simulate' a hardware failure in ESXi without actually going to the datacenter and pulling out a disk or something like that?
