dell yum causing issues
Hello
in the last 30 days yum update is no longer working on centos 6 machines with this error:
-> Processing Dependency: libsmbios = 2.2.27-4.12.1.el6 for package: python-sm
--> Finished Dependency Resolution
Error: Package: python-smbios-2.2.27-4.12.1.el6.x86_64 (@dell-omsa-indep)
Requires: libsmbios = 2.2.27-4.12.1.el6
Removing: libsmbios-2.2.27-4.12.1.el6.x86_64 (@dell-omsa-indep)
libsmbios = 2.2.27-4.12.1.el6
Updated By: libsmbios-2.2.27-1908.9058.el6.x86_64 (dell-omsa-indep)
libsmbios = 2.2.27-1908.9058.el6
You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest
this is related to dell's repository, can this be fixed and let me know once done?

Hello,
we have the same problem (Dell PowerEdge R720, Centos 6.7). Skip broken allows to update some packages but 42 packages cannot be updated.

Same problem here on two machines. Both systems are R720 machines running CentOS 6x.

HI
We have around 100 machines with this issue!
Can you fix your yum repository rather than every dell customer using linux have to run
yum remove dell_ie_rac python-smbios

yum remove dell_ie_rac python-smbios -y
yum clean all
yum update -y
