Chromecast
Can anyone get the chromecast to work with the Venue Pro 8 tablet, tablet sees device but their is no icon on any of the chromecast apps

Chromecast only works with Chromecast enabled applications (YouTube App), Web sites (Youtube site) or browsers (Chrome).
Otherwise you are looking for a Miracast dongle, which will be detected by your tablet. This is a different technology from Chromecast.
