Dell Venue 11 Pro 5130

Hi,

I am attempting to reinstall Windows on a Dell Venue 11 Pro 5130.  I have used disk part to clean the disk with the intention of booting from a USB drive and installing from there.

I used Refus to create the USB Windows image - I've tried W10 and W XP but it refuses to boot from USB.  I have ensured that Secure Boot is disabled but still nothing.

There are some options on Rufus I've never encountered before such as whether the USB should be set to MBR or GPT, and FAT32 or NTFS.

It seems, from what I've read, the Dell wants MBR and FAT32 to boot, but at this point, I'll take all the help I can get.

What is the best OS for this tablet?  I believe it had W 8.1 32bit, previously.

Thanks,

Adam.

All sorted.  It was a 32bit CPU and I made a Windows 8.1 USB boot drive.  After that, it was plain sailing.
