Dell venue 7 youku app has stopped working
Hi,
I just bought my mom a dell venue 7 tablet and she's been using an app called youku to watch videos. It was working fine for a few weeks but then it suddenly stopped working. Every time I to open the app it says youku has stopped working.
Things I've tried include clearing the app data. reinstalling the app, and even reformatting the tablet. Nothing has worked.
I've tried running the app on an older tablet running android jellybean and it worked. So I thought that maybe it was just not working for some versions of android but I also tried running the app on a phone running the same os as my dell venue 7 which is android kitkat 4.4.2 and it worked. Is that strange?
There was a recent update to the app but that was 5 days before the app stopped functioning. As it is one of the few apps my mom uses daily I was hoping that someone here could help me. Any ideas how to fix this? I've looked into downloading a previous version of the app but I don't know if there's a trustworthy site where I can download from so I want to avoid that. I would be happy to try other solutions. At the very least I was hoping that someone with a dell venue 7 running android kitkat 4.4.2 could try running the app (again it's called youku) just to let me know if the app is not working for other users or just for me.
