High temperatures in Venue 11 Pro 7140 (M5Y10)

Hello, recently I have a 7140 with M5Y10. I've noticed that much heated in some occasions, reaching 70 to 80°C. When I browse the internet (now for example) goes from 38 to 43°C, when using OneNote walk between 45 and 50°C, when I walk heavier operations exceeds 55 or 60°C (or more). When the latter happens, the area of the back cover near the area where the right hand rests, gets too hot. Is this normal and I get used, or should I take the service?. I thank you in advance for any advice.

How are you measuring temperature and where?   This unit doesn't have a fan but should meet Dell thermal specifications.

Hello, temperatures were measured with "HWMonitor" under the conditions of use indicated. They remain to date. The Bios is A09.

I have had the same problem, though I didn't think to perform diagnostics. First it burnt up the processor and I had to have it replaced (still under warranty). Then, after about a year the screen cracked from the heat and now the back of the device has swollen until it can't be closed. Strangely, it still works. It just looks pretty funny. And it still gets really hot from minimal use.

Hi, try to uninstall heavy unnecessary installed softwares and avoid continuously playing heavy games.
