Problem signing in into apps

Hi there, I am very happy with my Dell Streak, but right now bit disappointed. I just can not logg in into Get Glue Android app - I tested it on HTC Desire, it worked great. Streak (after upgrade to 2.2) also has huge problems using Facebook accounts to log into social apps - and it even does not sign in via Facebook SDK Example app, which is used by developers to test the sign in process. I can't believe I am the only one who is experiencing this problem - who can't sign in via Facebook. Any advice?

Well, this also happened to me, but I have solution: Go to Settings>applications>manage applications>running>social ... and do "clear cache" or something like that. It worked for me to make Stage Social run, but connecting apps via Facebook is still not working. It must be Facebook's fault!:o)))

Hi, I also have a similar problem. I can log in to Fb, Twitter, yahoo messenger and MSN, but i can't log in to the ICQ. It says "unknown error 18" or "wrong password or username". Any idea what that error 18 means?

Hey, I already know what the problem is:

Dell Streak probably contains implementation of http client which can't handle http://www.facebook.com:443 urls, which is used by Facebook to log-in via Facebook account to third-party apps. It was suggested to Facebook that all these urls use explicitly https protocol rather than rely on underlying http client implementation and its automatic switch of protocol. But for months with no answer or result.

Discussed here: http://bugs.developers.facebook.net/show_bug.cgi?id=14144

Only Facebook or Dell can solve it... No one seems be workin on it or even listening:o/

Though the problem appears to be at facebook they are probably not going to correct it but Dell has updated their code. you can get the update 318 from the dell support page and it resolves the issue. I was also having the same issue and it got resolved when I updated to 318. Below is the link to the update package :
