Streak 7 Stuck at Dell Logo After Update

Jump to solution

No fastboot, no recovery menu.

ADB can see the device but every command gets "error: closed".

If I plug the usb in WHILE holding Volume Up & Down, I can get my computer to detect it as an NVIDIA boot-recovery device, but not sure if that will help me.

Any suggestions from Dell? Anyone? Is there some way I can push files to the device in this state? It seems like this would be the state it would come in before a factory flash. There has to be some software that will get this thing working again.

Thanks

Re: Streak 7 Stuck at Dell Logo After Update

This is what happens when average people work against the corporatocracy.

I have successfuly restored my Streak 7 using nvflash and the img files provided by Runee. The command used is below. I will work with Runee to get these files available in a public location as well as write up a how-to. Currently I am trying to restore root, but it is not going too well.

There are 25 img files all together, but I only needed to write the first 14 to get it successfuly restored. My sitation had deteriorated significantly before this restoration. I had no LED come on when I plugged it in and I no longer got even the Dell logo. After running this command, writing the files and restarting, the first change was the LED came on. A little excitement there, but wasn't expecting much more. Then... Dell logo, started getting a little excited, then t-mo boot image. Now I was swearing and praising deities I don't believe in. Full successful boot up. No write issues, only having trouble rerooting with SOC. I'm sure I will have that resolved soon.

Necessary bct, bin and cfg files:

Patience and cooperation have been the keys to my success.

nvflash.exe --bct flash.bct --setbct --bl bootloader.bin

Thank you so much Captain Hindsight. I hope you don't work for Dell. You can barely make a complete sentence and your spelling could use some work as well. Moving on, perhaps someone else has some USEFUL suggestions.
