First post here, so be kind!
I've had my S7 for about 3 months and was able to apply the Honeycomb update as soon as it was available.
First impressions are that the new OS has taken the device to where it should have been in the first place. Battery life is up by about 20% and the GUI is slicker.
A couple of irritations though:
1)I have more software crashes. Probably 50% of the games I download from the market wont run. These include games that ran quite happily on Froyo.
I dont have that much experience with android, but this amount of crashes seems excessive.
Anyone else experiencing similar? and can someone offer advice?
2) is there a safe way of uninstalling some of the embedded apps?. I dont think I will need these apps and they take up resources and storage space that can be put to better use
This is normal, not abnormal, because apps for Froyo will not run well in honeycomb. It will take time before apps for honeycomb comes out. You need to be rooted in order to remove bloatware.
