Text is blurry on the Dell Canvas

I've been using my Canvas with a 1080p resolution to match my Asus monitor. However, I'd like to take advantage of the higher resolution of the Canvas when I'm working on projects. I raised the resolution up to the maximum, and restarted my computer. The text is quite blurry, as are some of the icons. I tried increasing the "display scaling" in Windows settings, as it had a recommended value of 125%, but increasing it just made them bigger and still blurry, while also making my mouse cursor HUGE. Has anyone else experienced this? Am I just supposed to leave it at 1080p?
