VMware NFS datastore

The docs state EMC recommend VMware NFS datastores for hosting VM's as opposed to standard NFS datastores. Other than automatically connecting the host ESX server, presenting the storage and scanning on the host are there any other real advantages to using VMware NFS on Unity?

Or support team are already familiar with the process for creating traditional NFS storage on Unity and changing to VMware NFS will require KT.

Thanks

Apart from the ESX connection and that they are shown in a different section in UniSphere a file system of type VMware NFS datastore also has an optimization for mtime updates enabled that provides better write response time.

So it is recommended to use it

The difference in creation isnt that big
