Adding remote clones to a device group using Unisphere for VMAX

Hi All,

Trying to get familar with Unisphere for VMAX. I did not find a way to add remote clones(RTGTs) to a device group in Unisphere. Is this functionality not supported in Unisphere.

Also I could not add devices to multiple device groups also, the required devices do not show up in the list of availbale devices.  (verified that SYMAPI_ALLOW_DEV_IN_MULT_GRPS is enabled in options file). Is this also missing in Unisphere?

Not sure if you were able to find the option to do this yet , but I just had similar issue today and found this method to add a device to multiple DG's using Unisphere for VMAX after enabling the parameter you have mentioned.

Data Protection -> Device Groups -> Select the DG -> Edit -> Click the filter Icon -> Under "Volume Identifier" key in the Device Id and select Ok , it would list you the device now and then allows you to complete the operation .

The storage group cannot contain a volume that is part of another storage group already associated with another policy.
