Process for removing unwanted VDEVs
Just want some clarification on the process for removing a VDEV from a Symmetrix VMAX:
(1) remove it from any active snaps and storage/device groups,
(2) unmap from FA ports (if mapped),
(3) dissolve META
(4) and delete individual devices?

1) yes, terminate VDEV session
2) yes
3) yes
4) yes, but you don't have to ..they are not taking up any physical space and could be re-used at later time.

Just wanted clarification to the steps...I will most likely go ahead and delete the devices since we don't have a lot of demand for changes to our VDEVs in our environment. These were from a group that were being deleted (created about 2 years ago). Thanks again!
